Our samithi is actively taking up planting Pongamia and other trees on the road-sides of Vijayalakshmi puram and surrounding areas. We are also watering them with a water tank on a rickshaw. More than 200 saplings were planted among which many have grown into big trees. The students of Local Bapatla Engineering College often participated.
